Teknic was established in 1971 as a small plastic-processing unit, supplying engineering plastic components to PHILIPS India. Ever since, the company has developed expertise in many facilities.
Having developed an in-house expertise in processing of Plastic engineering components. We decided in 1978, to enter into the field of electrical electronic controlgear products. It was decided to first develop the 30.5 mm Control and Signalling devices and then the 22.5 mm series. This was inspite of the fact that Multinational companies like Siemens / Larsen & Toubro Cutler Hammer were already in the market with these products. We introduced the 30.5 mm devices in 1980 and 22.5 mm devices in 1984. We have pleasure in stating that we are today the leaders in the controlgear field in India. We also manufacture electro-mechanical devices, such as Circuit Breakers for Equipment (CBE), Micro switches, Rocker Switches, SlideSwitches and Terminals for application in all kinds of Electrical and Electronic Circuits.
In our manufacturing activities at Mumbai and Banglore, we employ in all 380 persons.
The company has followed a careful marketing policy. Personal visits to customers all over India to demonstrate the technical features of our products, systematic advertising, participation in Trade Fairs have enabled us to popularize our products amongst a large cross section of clientele in India and all over the world.
